Omg thats really horrible words fail me.

 

Well, I guess the other alternative is just to cull. I assume spaying has been ruled out for money/time reasons. I imagine more people would be against the cull (to be honest... I can see why culling is a viable option, maybe that makes me an awful person)

 

Omg that is awful I really wish we had a world where children and animals had safe loving homes I cannot believe how cruel people can be I really don't know how they live with themselves those poor kittens starving to death I am so sad now

Thats more humane then some other countrys *none named* where they breed nice fluffy cats for coats and bash their heads against the floor and skin them alive.

I have seen videos of it on youtube.

There are some spots in hell reserved especially for those types of people.

But then this country isnt perfect the amount of pregnant cats and young kittens that are shoved out the door because their "LOVING OWNERS" cant handle them is hugh!

I just read something that I am just crying over, its mainly in mediterranean countries and instead of neutering the female cats, they SLICE off the top of their nipples so they can feed the kittens so all the kittens they produce die, the mum comes into call again, mates, goes through pregnancy and the kittens die

WHY dont they just neuter?? Why would they rather a cat going through birth 5 times a year and kittens dying for no reason??

its in one of my mags, I just tried to find it (got about 10 here) and cant bloody find it, Ill have another look tom unless the partner has thrown it? Im thinking that it was your cat mag? either last month or this month or your dog mag or dogs monthly....or any weekly mags... :blush: :blush: I do like my mags :blush:

That's horrifying. The people that do the job are probally not properly qualfyed either. It would great if there something we could do to help the poor things but sadly there isn't. If there was I would be among the first to offer help.

These poor cats would be better off put to sleep, but as said that costs money, happy I stay in the UK now, bad enough here.

It doesn't make sense to me. To do that to a feral cat, you will need to trap it and then surely one would need to anaethetise it to carry out the procedure? Surely it would be cheaper and easier just to euthanase? I am sure this story cannot be true.

Aside from being horrible, that sounds like a really complicated and bizarre solution to the problem.

Why allow a female to continue breeding countless litters just for them to die? If neutering is too expensive, then surely euthanasia is the more effective, efficient and financially viable option?

Sadly the list of no go areas is getting bigger!

Sounds like an urban legend or scaremongering piece to me, but if it is true it's absolutely despicable. Even a cull would be a much more humane way of dealing with the problem.

 

I think females in general get such a raw deal with mutilation, be it human or animal.

I remember I actually passed out when I found out the details of female circumcision.

There are better ways to deal with the problems of overpopulation of cats, and culling is actually more humane than this slow starvation of kittens.
