cont.. max was at vet evey 2 days until dec. max's lump on his back foreleg, where he had been bitten a few years ago, was now getting bigger and when max got fitter vet examined the lump further, as it was getting bigger the cells in the lump were also changing, so vet suggested removing lump. max went through the op on 17th dec it was aggressive canerous lump and vet hopes he has got it all, max's 25 stitches came out 2 weeks later. the wound is looking great and max has only to get 5min walks when going out as wound has nearly healed on outside the inside has still some to go. if there are any changes or lump comes back the vet stated there's no more they can do!! we said if leg needs to come off do it. vet stated with max's age it would be too traumatic for him, best to be pts
      hope 'teils are doing well.
a late happy new year. all the best for 2015. say hi to all for me, and take care, hope to hear from you soon.

hi there, so sorry that it's taken a wee while to reply. am so sorry to hear that Neo has passed away. i haven't been on pf for ages due to us flitting and our max being ill!! i stupidily bought max a 'postmans leg' bone out of a local shop and it poisened him, resulting in nearly killing him!!!!! i gave max the bone on friday night at start of oct as we had just moved in and thought it would be a wee treat for him!! on taking max to vet on the mon early morn, taking bone and packaging with me, max then had a day and overnight stay at vet, as he was so distressed the vet allowed max to come home. vet gave us meds etc... and we had to take him back in 2 days time. max was dying so vet kept him in and gave him meds by drip and did exrays etc.. the vet by this time had did tests on the bone and found that it had been laced with bacteria and also found out that some of these bones that are being sold around britain, may contain mrsa.

oh, well done to you, bet the kids were mesmerized. it would have been scarey at first but i bet you gave a fantastic lecture, you'll need to do it again, giving kids a better understaning of birds is a fantastic thing to do, and them being able to see exactly what you were talking about must have been great for them. you must do it again.

      hi,

      love the avatar pic.

loved the new pics of 'teils.

i enjoyed the bird show, my friends linnie is doing well. iv'e posted a pic on f.b.l.s pics to let you see her, still very young, she may even speak one day, so we were told, shouldv'e been £80, bought her for £20, end of show and were packing up, good, eh, (shhh shouldn't really tell that, oops, lol)

i hope you get many a good prize for the 'teils. hope they do go to good homes too. sounds as if you are really enjoying breeding again, great stuff, i hope it all goes well for you.

hows dell boy and all other pets. max enjoyed his morn walk, was a bit warmer today, so we went to the field again, so peaceful.

i must admit i was sorely tempted to buy a wee bird at the show but as i said iv'e given all cages and toys food etc... away. will look after friends birds as a consolation, lol.

take care, keep me posted on 'teils, thanks, ttfn

happy solstice to you and yours.

how are things going with the 'teils?

we have had some glorious weather here over the past couple of weeks. i spray max down with luke-warm water before going out and same when home. i'm going on shorter waks in this hot weather as i don't want to get him 'whappit'. we sit it the shade for a wee while to get him some fresh air. hope you and yours are well, take care, f.b.l.
