Hair and Lint Remover by Simple Solution | Pets at Home

is it this one?

I'm desperate seriously it's taking me an hour to get hair off my clothes, makes doing the washing last a whole afternoon :(

I've been brushing the cats with a mit every morning but still hair is everywhere, how are they not bald :)

I use a plastic brush on the floors and that is far better than a normal broom for picking up hair.

I basically have indoor cloths - either grotty stuff or cloths where it doesnt stick/show eg light colours or silky fabrics. And then outdoor cloths and work cloths that go straight into the cupboard when i get home. I would love to get a better solution but they do moult a lot!

I get through lint rollers just de-hairing the bed each night. i do use a top blanket to keep them off the pillows. But i still wake up with hair in my mouth and nose unless i lint roll the pillows every couple of nights :001_rolleyes:

Come on dummies - wheres your brains, (cant attach a photo or link as am on phone) but best way to solve cat hair is to get a sphinx cat. :D

On the hand (hope you all dont say its cruel) but i use a marigold glove to brush jet, hes like a grizzly bear with moulting at mo and it gets the loose hair out good, oh and it sticks to the glove so you can just roll the hair up and pop it in the bin

I bought an Amaze "brush" from the london pet show, it's not really a brush but more like a sandpaper pad. It's not sandpaper though but glass something or other... argh hard to explain but it is great for things like carpet & sofas, the hair comes right off and you don't have to stop and change the sheet every other second like a lint roller. I brush to get all the hair in one pile and then use tape or 1 piece of lint roller just to pick up that one pile.
It does work great on clothes too but it works better when the fabric is pulled taut so not that easy to just quickly use when you're on the way out the door.
AmazeBrush
apparently it is supposed to last 5 yrs and you get one other sheet when you buy it so 10 years...

I also use a furminator on Mia which cuts down the amount she sheds really noticeably. She's not long haired but incredibly fluffy, I wonder if she has an extra coat in there. Just make sure you do it outside...
I'm not too bothered about cat hair, our work is seriously casual; hubs wears suits but takes it off as soon as he's home and doesn't cuddle the cats when he's wearing it!

at least they don't moult this bad all year round? unless there super hairy then you just live with it!
im finding my cat keeps bringing in little flowers on him from the garden in the last week aswell and the part of my bed where he sleeps is like a bit of the garden!? bits of mud, hair and flowers!

bump still finding this a massive issue. Has taken me about 3 hours to dehair my clothes tonight.
Have you tried any of the brushes/sponges/etc. that the others have suggested? No luck with any of them? :(

Thanks guys for the suggestions earlier in the thread as I'm also getting tired of buying a new lint roller every week - might try that sponge TB recommended or maybe the Amaze brush as both look good. :)

I use a lint roller that comes from Ikea. Nice and cheap. I tend only to do my work clothes, and my clothes I go to football in.

I also keep a lint roller in my car (just in case I spot hair in traffic jams) and I also keep one in my desk drawer at work.

I am intrigued with the Pets at Home sponge. Might have to investigate.

I've given up, so has my OH. I often see him walking out the door with huge patches of white fluff on the back of his suit jacket. He told me he sat through an entire meeting with a long Nunu hair hanging from his nostril (until a colleague pointed it out)
Mostly we use a lint roller or parcel tape.
It is part of having cats.

We used to use a mixture of approaches in our house. Our boys are ticked, so no matter what colour you wear at least some part of each hair will show up... Most people will think we were (are?) crazy and I suspect I agree :D

<crazy>
The biggest effort; we had two sets of clothes - work clothes, and everything else :p That includes the under layers and socks ;) Once work clothes were on in the morning, you couldn't pick the boys up. And as soon as you get home, you had to change and put work clothes in the work clothes laundry basket.

The washing machine was cleaned out (just rub around with a rubber glove) to ensure no cat hair before washing work clothes. To hang out work clothes you needed to de-cat-fur first (with a roller), then let the washing dry in a cat free place.
Once it's dry, you'd de-cat-fur again, then get a rubber brush, a lint brush (the sandpaper ones) and the rollers from Ikea. Remove all cat fur you can find from every single item, and fold or hang as appropriate.
These then go into the work clothes draws and the highest hanging spaces where the cats can't reach and are never mixed with other clothes, or we'd use dry cleaning bags around some items.

We also had the boys furminated, zoom groomed and baby brushed. Then I have a plastic/rubber broom, a fabric broom (dry mop?), a second rubber brush and a pet dyson to do the house with. The bedsheets were regularly vac'ed, brushed and lint rolled (the cats love this game!). Their bedding is vacuumed and the cat tree. The couch had to be brushed and vac'ed, the floor swept, dry mopped, vacuumed and dry mopped again.
</ crazy>

This was taking us ages, but at least it wasn't first thing in the morning before work. But I didn't like not being able to greet my boys the second I step through the door and I hate housework. So now I have a few work jumpers that are washed separately and de-cat-furred before I put them away and my jeans, singlets etc are just normal clothes. I use a lint roller to clean a singlet each morning and it's only after I've said goodbye to the boys that I put the jumper on and go to work. The second I'm home I take it off and cuddle the boys :D

Cat fur is cleaned up around the house ad-hoc when we have time or when visitors are coming  The boys are still brushed of course :D And when I'm at work and find a cat hair on me, I carefully check the colour to see if it's Bloo or Freckle, think of them waiting for me at home and can't wait to get back to them
