How old is he/she? Firstly you need to rule out

too hot/cold
pain
hunger
nappy change needed

 

She's 7 1/2 weeks old and she's not in pain, she stops but then randomly starts up again. She's taken most of her bottle but there's still just short of 3 oz in there. I hope she doesn't need a nappy change, her mom did it just before she got here at 11! Guess I'll have to check She had done big burps and farts. On my knee none the less, felt like I'd been shot

 

How long has she been awake? Ruling out the above, maybe she is tired, and gotten herself overtired. Put her in her pram and take her for a stroll

Have you tried giving her water? She could be thirsty.

 

Just put her in the pram and rocking her back and forth, seems a bit better now

 

It does sound like shes fighting sleep, you might find walking round with her resting on your shoulder will do the trick.

Could also be reflux or colic, does she spit any of her milk back up after her bottle?
The heat will be making her less hungry as well so don't worry if she's not taking her full bottle, as long as she's taking some and she's having plenty of wet and dirty nappies
