Evening all! Just wanted to do a little update on my foster pup Joey to show you all how hes getting on.
Hes been here a couple of weeks now, his broken tail has pretty much healed (as has his dodgy leg) and hes finally put on some extra weight!

He is growing into such a loving, gentle and confidant puppy with a wicked stubborn streak that makes me late for everything, but you've got to love that cute little face  :D I think this one will be hard to let go..

The day he arrived, he was very underweight and completely terrified of anything that moved :(

Starting to settle in after 2 weeks and gaining confidance with every passing day!

Helping out with the bake sale at the rescues open day in his snazzy jumper

First time begging for food (bad thing I know, but he had previously ignored any food put in front of him)

Getting groomed by Ike who holds him down evey evening to clean his face :p

He is utterly adorable :001_tt1:

Well done you for bringing him on so much

Love the one of him being groomed by the cat and absolutely adore his ears :D

How on earth are you going to be able to let him go?

I LOVE HIM! His ears are brilliant, and the pic of him being groomed is hilarious!!! Gorgeous boy.
His ears are hilarious, they are always flopping about or sticking out at odd angles! :p

I missed him, he is adorable :001_tt1: love the pics but especially the last, is he all whippet, he looks a bit 'fluffy' in the first few. I am a sucker for a blue though. :)
Theres a high chance he could be mixed with something, I suspect hes a lurcher, but I just go by what the rescue told me initially. I've met a few whippet owners who weren't totally sure when he was younger due to his size and malnutrition, but more people have said lurcher now that hes filling out.

Gorgeous baby :3
Thank you, hes a dote :)

Not really a fan of "lean" breeds like whippets, grey hounds etc but must admit he is very cute. :)
I wasn't a fan either until I started volunteering took him on, but they are definitely starting to grow on me. They have an amazing temperament and are really loving, easy going dogs.

OMG he is too adorable for words. I would so love to have him but I think my Colt would leave home if another dog came to live here. What a tonic it would be to watch his antics and his funny ears although I think your cat is going to miss him.

Honestly, I don't know how I'm going to give him back. I am extremely tempted to keep him here, but there is a lot of interest in him and I don't know if its selfish of me to keep him permanently.

Plus it means I can't take on another foster (I'm limited to one with space and time) so him staying means another puppy in need of one on one misses out. Its a tough decision

He's very cute and I love the ones of him with the cat. Are whippet puppy ears normally so fun? :D
I've yet to meet a whippet with ears like his, thats for sure! He always looks a bit windswept :p

Ike is great with dogs, but he has taken to Joey since day one. I'm not sure that Joey enjoys the grooming, but he's learned that resistance is futile lol.

He really is a cutie, love the photo of your cat holding him down for a wash and brush. Have a secret yen for a whippet in the future, I'm sure one would fit in with Isla in our little motorhome.
Must be so difficult to hand back foster dogs when they are fit and well again. You have my admiration.

He is so yummy! I hope his ears stay like that, i have met a few pointies with weird ears but they usually grow out of them when the cartilage pops back.

I don't think he should go anywhere... Or if he does, it should be to my house!!
