I've already put this on Behaviour, but I really need help so I'm trying on hear as well.

Any ideas how I can stop him.

Dillon has started to hump me when I take him outside our house on the grass verge, and as his a large dog he is really hurting me, I've scratches all down my arms, when I push him off he he just come back at me stronger. I think there may be a bitch in season around.

I am thinking of neutering him, but I wanted to leave it until his older. I just need some way of stopping him when he grabs me.

What happens if you give the 'leave it' command?

If you can't distract him with a command, then you could try a pet corrector or even squirting him with a tiny bit of lukewarm water...I know some folk will not like this suggestion but it doesn't hurt the dog and if you don't want to neuter him just yet...

You need to show him that it's unacceptable so if a verbal command isn't working, then either a squirt of water or pet corrector is worth a try.

Neutering doesn't always stop humping; humping can be down to excitement.

I wouldn't assume that the humping is sexual it can often be a stress reliever so neutering may or may not help. So it could be excitement or nervousness that is causing it.
As it's always happening in the same place has something happened there, has something changed there etc?

You could try distracting with an activity before it happens tossing a non rolling toy, playing touch etc.

Or you could just turn around and go back inside if when you notice he's becoming tense ,excited come back out when he's calm and repeat. It may take sometime but well worth it.

ETA wasn't Dillion attacked a few weeks back? has this come about following the attack? if so it could be related and I'd be very reluctant to use adversives on a dog who could be nervous.
