Hi there first time poster so apologies if this is in the wrong place. Not so much a breeding question, just breed.

I currently own a 12 month old cat that we rescued via fb. Previous owners stated that she is a bengal x ragdoll but I have doubts. Her breed isn't really important at all, just curious and would be interesting to see what you guys who are in the know think she could be based on some pictures. I have more if these aren't good enough.

If she's a moggy, she's a moggy. Love her regardless.

Thanks all for your replies! Was sort of worried about health issues i've read about re: ragdolls or so-called ragdolls so this has put me at ease. It's likely the previous owners were lied to about her mix by whoever they purchased her from.

and yes, Tiggs1, she is indeed very loving :) I'm a lucky man to have her

She is a lovely-looking girl and you two are lucky to be together.

On the breed question, 'Bengal x Ragdoll' sounds very like many obviously dodgy ads I saw on Pets4Homes last year. Scammers and backyard breeders and other lowlife seem to delight in cramming their ads with what they see as buzzwords for attracting potential buyers. These ads scream out to anyone with a bit of knowledge of cat breeding.

One of the worst I saw described kittens as 'pure-bred Bengal, father a pedigree black British Shorthair.'

Just can't make it up can you?
Prev. owner said they had gotten her as a kitten from their sister. Unsure if they meant sister was the breeder or not.

Prev. owner also said she did not like being stroked, picked up or being near people at all and said she would likely keep to herself, which is the opposite of what we've seen from her.

Cats have a good sixth sense and obviously wasn't at ease before at all, he has fallen on his feet and found a home and an owner he can call Shangri-la.
My ginger tom very rarely takes to strangers and hides, there has only been one exception and that is a friend of HK/ Chinese decent who occasionally pops around. He will paw my friend for attention and must sense his calmness and aura that he emits.

Your cat and mine could be twins and mine is mixed bengal. The funny thing is I found this post because I was thinking mine had ragdoll in her, also. Her younger brother- same dad and mom. He looks like a pure ragdoll but it could just be that some cats look like others. Your cat and my Wednesday have the same patterns and even the faces have a unique pattern.
