Hey all,
I can't seem to find a recent topic discussing this so I thought I'd try!

What food are you feeding your fur babies?
I'm interested as I'm still in the process of finding the right brands for my little guy (coming on 16 weeks).

I have Bozita Tetra Paks, Animonda Carny Kitten, Animonda Vom Feinsten, Smilla, Feringa Pure Meat Menu.

My guy literally turns his nose up at all of them except Bozita :/, I'm hoping he's only fussy because of this really hot weather.

Thanks! :)

We are giving our 15 weeks kitten Bozita tetra packs as well, and Rosie's farm, Lily's kitchen and James Wellbeloved (turkey, lamb or chicken depending on what I find on offer). All wet food of course, based on the instructions found on this forum!

We do have a bag of Applaws dry food and just leave her a handful overnight usually if we see that she hasn't eaten too much during the day, which is currently happening at the moment. But we are aware that she needs the water intake from the wet food so are really prioritizing it during the day. We are both working from home at the moment so it's easy to give her food several times a day, and we also just bought an automatic feeder with ice packs as we're planning to go away a few days at the end of the month (even though we have someone coming to stay at our place and looking after her, there will still be a one day gap unfortunately until we come back).

I think it is normal for cats not to be as hungry in the heat. Also sometimes it takes a few times of introducing a food to a cat, before they see it as food.

I have heard good things about Rosie's Farm that @StinWom mentioned.
I also recommend Meowing Heads, it is juicer than most pate foods, my guys both like it.

Also, I leave wet food out overnight, as they wake with the sun and I usually find it finished by the time I get up. Your fellow may eat better early on before the heat kicks in.

My Lola is close to being 6 months now.

I started feeding her Sheba pouches when we first got her (first thing we could get from the shops), bought also some Iams wet pouches for kitties, that gave her really bad farts. Then I bought Hills (Dry and Wet), suggested by the vet. She LOOOVEs the dry Hills stuff and tolerates the wet but her poos did smell a bit sort of medicinal.

I also tried with wet food in pate format and she HATED it. Definitely the dry food seems to be coated in kitty crack.

We also tried James Wellbeloved wet pouches and was relatively happy and now we seem to have finally settled on Blink Cat Food in most of the range and she LOVES it. She doesn't far (smelly) anymore and her poos smell normal.

I'm struggling to get my cat (5) to eat any of the wet cat food that the vet suggested as they think she has gluten intolerance! I've tried James Well-beloved, Harringtons. Scrumbles (wet) Rosie's Farm and she just went on hunger strike! I have no difficulty in getting her to eat a variety of GF dried foods (Scrumbles and Crave go down best) but only some Lily's Kitchen, Blink and Hi Life has gone down and stayed down in wet form. Her daughter normally eats absolutely anything and she won't eat it at all either ... There are no 'common' ingredients in the ones she will and won't eat. Is it just 'cat'?!

Ash is just over 5 months old and we have slowly been introducing different wet foods for a few months. So far we have Feringa kitten, Animonda carny kitten, Animonda vom Feinstein kitten, scrumbles (tuna only as ash hated the salmon- the only food he's ever refused) and Rosies farm kitten. We just bought some Bozita too to introduce some more types of meat but they haven't arrived yet!

Am I right in saying all the ones you've tried are pate except bozita which is chunks is sauce or jelly? Maybe it's the texture that puts him off?

How are you finding the Feringa pure meat? I just discovered it and am interested in trying that out!

Yes you're right, Bozita is chunks in jelly. It could be the texture but I usually crush up the chunks and he eats it normally, otherwise he would just lick the jelly.
I've only tried 1 can of the Feringa and he wasn't too keen on it. I will try other flavours and see if it's any better.

We've been using Grau for a number of years, although the quality seems to have gone way down the last while. We were getting too many tins of varying consistency and some just seemed off. Zooplus were kind enough to refund me twice, I've ordered Feringa and catz finefood this month to try them out. The two cats aren't too sure! They scoffed down the first half of the salmon, then later that evening wouldn't touch it! They've eaten small amounts of the other flavours since, but nothing too promising just yet.

How are your fur-babies finding the Animonda Vom Feinstein & Rosie's farm ?

I'm interested in trying them out with snowy, but she has a sensitive stomach so I'm a bit wary.

Interesting thread (for food and IT issues!)!

Fiyero is 5.5 months and now on Feringa (the kitten menu, turkey with pumpkin) and Animonda vom Feinsten pure turkey for neutered cats, as he's been a sensitive soul and we're transitioning from Royal Canin GI. Tried Leonardo Kitten but that seemed a bit rich (although could have been affected by the hot weather).

The Animonda is the absolute favourite, shouting as well as loud purrs when it appears.
He'd also like to be on Costa Coffee straws, elastic bands, whole packs of butter and chocolate muffins o_O

Ash loves both, particularly the lamb AVF, but he's never had issues with a sensitive stomach so I can't really comment on that part! No issues that way from us!

Apologies for the late response!

My little one is abit of a weirdo sometimes with food. I had 2 flavours of Vom Feinstein (Lamb and Beef) he liked the beef one but wasn't keen on the lamb. However a week later he loves them both. Maybe because he's more hungry these days as I've changed his meals from 4 to 3 times a day.

Haven't got anything bad to say about Rosie's farm. He tried it and enjoys it. I did notice his stools were abit loose after having it once, but that was 1 pack out of like 7? His stools were fine on the other 6 or so packs he had, so could of just been a one off.

Bozita tetra packs (any flavour) - mine have loved this for ages. But I think I've figured it's popular as it's the same sort of texture and make up as supermarket own brand / felix etc...

Tried with Feringa.
They seemed to like it so spent ÂŁ50 odd on all the flavours.
First tin and they don't like it!

I can put it down and it'll stay there all day... they graze on it rather than eat and sleep the rest of the day.

Gonna try and resell most tins and just go back to Bozita I think. Not sure yet.
