My son had a Labradoodle. You'd never have know it was a cross, as a puppy she was exactly like a Labrador and as she grew she was like a shorter but stockier version of a Lab but with a growing coat, not curly but it did go a bit wavy and shaggy when it was long. She was absolutely terrible for moulting, hair everywhere. She used to go to the groomers 2 or 3 times a year when at her shaggiest and always came back with what looked like a normal Lab coat.

First I have no experiences of poodles, but we got our first labrador 24 years ago. There have been six over the years. Every single one of them shed a humongous amount of hair twice a year. It lasts for about a month usually.
I bath them near the end of the "moult". I brushed them everyday for weeks. It never seemed to make a dent in the amount of hair that came from them.

Definitely invest in a good brush, oh and one of those sticky rollers for your clothes. I would not change my dyson for anything. I would also not change my dogs for anything, it lasts a couple of months a year and the rest if the time , there is hair about, but I don't notice it other people might . My children used to tell their friends when I fed them that they might get a freebie, but not to mind they were free. Poor souls they probably didn't realise there was a high probability of at least one hair ending up in someone's dinner.

Unfortunately many do shed quite a lot. Just keep on top of grooming, regular clipping will help and prevent any matts which are quite easy to get when the coats curly but sheds.
