I'm currently on the Food4Cats website to buy another month of food for Enzo and I've just come across some new raw bits for sale... rabbit feet and rabbit ears.

Just curious... has anyone bought these? If so, what are they like? Do your cats like them? Are they real messy?

Thanks :)

I saw those today too and wondered the same thing! :)
We'll find out one way or another! If nobody knows, I'll add a bag to my next order and see what they're like.

I'm also wondering if the rabbit ears are mostly cartilage or meat?

Not sure if Enzo would like the rabbit feet, a lot of bone. We gave him a chicken wing and he chewed and crunched and chewed and crunched and then spit out the bone (with no meat on it!)

They are a new addition to see what peoples reaction will be.

We normally get all our wild rabbits out of their jackets and ready for cutting or mincing but due to the cold weather our store in East Anglia has had difficulty removing the skins as the rabbits will not defrost enough for them to be removed. We have brought them to Manchester and as I have to remove these bits rather than throw them away I thought that I would put them on as a treat or a toy.

Both items are not messy at all, the ears are just a dry piece of skin with some fur on so more or a plaything than a meal (try telling that to a couple of my cats). The feet make a good chew as there is very little meat on them.

Theres not a lot I can do to disguise what they are I'm afraid so if you are squimish you have been warned. At least they are from wild rabbits. In America they sell the ones from farmed rabbits so they come in all colours. They also sell the heads but I don't think that the UK are ready for this so I'll leave them till next year
