How about a chat? :)

Just a good old how are you? what's been going on in your life? Doing anything interesting this evening? New job? New pet? I hope you are all well, of course including your furry family too!

Love to hear about it!

Hi Mirx xxx

I am having a pretty tough time at the moment as my boyfriend was diagnosed back in June with Cancer and has recently been told he only has a couple of months left. He was moved to the hospice yesterday but I am struggling to pluck up the courage to go and see him again (saw him last on Sunday at the hospital) I am a practical person and need to be able to 'do' something, in this instance I am feeling totally useless and don't know how to deal with seeing him in pain etc and not be able to help him or do anything.

On some better news I bought my three cats a cat tree last week which arrived yesterday and I put up today. Mind you only Lia has actually been climbing up on it and sleeping on it.

Hope you and yours are ok?

Oh my goodness, I am so so very sorry for what you are both going through right now. It is never easy to see someone you love in pain, But I think you being there with him will definitely brighten his day just being able to spend those moments with you.

Oh a new cat tree! Always fun, I am sure before you know it they will ALL be on it. if anything like my two they will be fighting for the highest perch lol

We are doing well, Can't complain too much. Still going through financial difficulties, but pulling ourselves out the best we can! Hopefully it won't be long before everything is back to normal. The boys are as crazy as ever and think the Autumn air has really gave them a burst of energy haha

Hello.

It rained today.

A lot.

But I still managed to clear out the garage which was being used for the temporary storage of building materials, repair the two doors and level the floor.:yesnod:

Our car is 90 cms longer than the garage.

But the good news is, the overhang of the roof at either end totals 170cms.:001_smile:

Next summer I intend to blow it up and send all the debris to the 4R53 holes who built it.

Sounds like you had a rather busy day! time to put your feet up, if your big fuzzy dog lets ya :p

I always wondered... well not always just thinking of it now. Do they have a set length for garages? Or when building do you just use your own car as a guide lol?

If you do blow up the garage be sure to film it, you might be the next viral YouTube hit... especially if you plan to actually use the debris as said

I've been to ordsall hall and done some dusting with support from my carer and then did pottery, now chilling and trying to get Buddy to calm down, he has a case of the zoomies aiming a nip at me as He passes me with hs ears back. He's going to the groomers on monday then he has an appointment at the vets on wednseday. Nothing wrong just a check up and boosters as hoping to take him back to dog training but they require boosters every year at the training class I go to.

Busy days ahead of you then. glad to see all is well :)

Ohh pottery! I have always wanted to try that, is it easy? Or does it take a bit of time to get the hang of it? I'd love to see what you made.

Haha I guess the autumn air gets to the dogs the same as cats then! Is that him in your signature? Beautiful dog :)

I'm not sure what building regulations they were following to be honest. All I know is that one of the side walls was 25cms longer than its opposite.:001_huh:

But as I removed the wood cladding to get to the main structure I discovered the extra length was made up of 4-50x100 and 2-25x100:confused1:

The doors never actually shut all the time we've lived here because there was always something sticking out preventing them from being shut.

I've had a brand new car half frozen to death in the sub zero temperatures of two arctic winters, almost drowned by two very rainy autumns, baked to a crisp by two hot summers and drooled on by the surrounding trees. (Resin)

So now I intend to improvise a cover to span the doors that can't be shut.:thumbup1:

That sounds really odd, like it was makeshift? maybe they ran out of materials...or didn't have a saw lol Im puzzled how they managed it.

Poor car! At least now you can get the car into the garage, just a cover behind it being the issue.

:)

Ive had a poo day, just spent hours at my mums after finishing work, she is having chemo again which has created a problem with her blood clotting, she bit into her dinner and it cut the roof of her mouth and they could stop it bleeding. The rang us in panic and we sped up. Applying pressure to the roof of someones mouth is impossible. just got home

where the wine????

We can't even pass the bronze good citizen test. He thinks stay means recall and recalls means stay.
Uh oh, looks like he is a bit confused. Maybe they'll teach you how to get him on the right words.

Sounds a bit strange, is there a timer set on it that has been switched on? Or set for certain type of clothing?

Hope your ok

They won't have him back just ye as he is not good with other dogs and lunges at them, he was attacked by 2 offlead dogs who had blown of recall to get to him and since then he's reacted to strange cocky dogs by lunging. Trying to work on that with him.

Aww, poor little guy.

Hopefully he'll learn that not all dogs are trying to attack him, Sure that day has frightened him though so understandable why he is lunging.

I thought when in dog training they all had to wear leads to prevent such things from happening?

Hope you are all well this afternoon :)

Last night I finally made myself that coconut cake I wanted, it is SO yummy! <3 Though I almost wish I had a tiny bit of malibu to put into either the cake or the butter-cream frosting. Hmm. Maybe next time.

I am almost tempted to have a Halloween movie marathon tonight, meant to be chilly and perfect time to hide under a blanket while watching horror films. lol

Yes they do wear leads but even attatched to leads they are still able to lunge.:) We get told to let dogs offlead for the recall one at a time and the risk there is he can run up to a dog on,ead and attack. Thankfully the attack wasn't at dog training it was near me on a walk. The rule at my dog training classes is if your dog is agressive or lunges we won't let them join us but can offer 1 to1 training at the dogs owners house.

Ohh, that makes sense. I think I would prefer to have 1 on 1 with the trainer at my house. Less distractions for the dogs and owners lol
