We are due to move at the end of the month.
When we mved here we kept the cats in for 2ish weeks until they had been 'done' and vaccinated.

But what are the actual reasons we should keep them in?
And how long do we need to keep them in for??

I know Milo is going to hate it, and I know he is going to drive me absolutely barmy is there any way to make it less stresfull for him? He hates being shut in, he refuses to use the litter box, poops/pees on dog beds and rips things up!

So they can get used to their new territory and get over the stress of moving, if you let them out the day you moved they would most likely try to get back to their original home, it's better to be safe than sorry.
I normally keep mine in for 2 weeks when moving house, you think you're going to have it bad - we're moving this year and have 18 cats that are mostly farm cats so are going to be driven nuts with them all in!!!!!:rolleyes:

Yeah, it is so they get used to where they are! 2 weeks it is usually. You can put a little of butter on their paws just before they go out, so when they do get out they stop to wash it off and then can look around and get to know their surroundings. Thats what I heard any way. Never tried it myself. But it might work! :D Hope your move goes well!
