Stick Insect food change

Hello

I’m just looking for some advice, I’ve brought home my class stick insects and have been feeding them Ivy. However, where I live I haven’t got Ivy easily accessible. Can I change to something else like privet or blackberry? I’ve got a blackberry bush in my garden and my neighbour has got a privet hedge. I won’t change if it will hurt them but there isn’t much Ivy where I live.

Thank you for your reply, I presume they are Indian stick insects, got them when they were young from another teacher. Oh okay I didn’t know about the Ivy, I will change them to a more varied diet. I’ve got blackberry and wine berry (type of raspberry) in my garden so will start giving them that and see if I can find some oak and hazel too. Thank you again I really appreciate it.
