Who's got one and are they any good?
I need one to be able to clean a tiled floor with dimples

I've got one and also have tiles with dimples 😊 it's so so. Not as good as it was when I had vinyl flooring. My floor gets much grubbier since I got Zak even though I towel his feet before he comes in and sometimes I have to scrub it as the steamer doesn't clean properly. Mine is a Vax and I buy the steam detergent for it.

I haven't had this particular steamer very long. I had a different make before that and still have the mop head from that one which also fits the Vax. I suppose it depends on how often you use it. I use mine when a wipe over with a cloth isn't enough to shift the grime. Maybe once a month.

I’ve got a karcher easy fix which is perfectly fine. The lead is a bit short for our house so I do have to keep unplugging and moving or using an extension. And the water tank needs to be refilled twice to cover the tiled areas downstairs but it’s a big area to cover.

I’d love to find a cordless steam cleaner as I would definitely get one.

If you are after a wet floor cleaner the best and easiest one I have ever bought is a Tineco cordless vacuum/mop. It’s genius!! It’s just like a cordless vacuum but has a roller and water tank too so mops as it goes along. It’s brilliant being re chargeable. It’s quick, picks up well (inc wood pellet cat litter) gets to the edges of floors. I wouldn’t be without it and if I had to choose would take it over my steam cleaner any day!!!

I have a couple of questions about the Tineco if I may?

How long/tall is it? - I mean, could it be easily used in a sitting position?
And how heavy is it?
Thank you :)

If you've not used one before I'd suggest borrowing one to see if they work like you expect. I have a vax one and I never use it. I think I thought the dirt would sort of dissolve or fall off, but it doesn't and still have to scrub. I think steam is instead of chemicals which is fine but I find a quick spray with some flash easier!

On my floor I use a vacuum and mop in one, bissell. Not a cordless though, can't get much done in 30mins and find it annoying.

I’m pretty sure ours was from Lakeland but none of the ones currently on their site.
It’s ok. Some dirt gets put into lines so you’ve got to go round with a cloth afterward.
Having looked at the vax the cloth head is much better on vax as it overlaps so can get right up along the edges which ours can’t.
If buying again I’d look into ones with rotating heads, see if they do a better job.

I've got a shark and it's very good. @Jaf if you hold the stream cleaner over dirt/marks it does lift them.

I have been looking at the wet/dry vacuums though and would get the cordless Vax or corded Bissel after seeing videos/reviews. This would halve the time it takes and therefore save me a bit of pain!

My steam cleaner is like this but an older model.

I looked at the cross wave Bissel and the Tineco when I was looking at wet/dry vacuums (Soozi sent me a comparison video lol). We both went for the Tineco in the end and were really pleased with it though tbf the Bissel looked just as good. Honestly it makes life so easy if you have a big area to mop.
