Hi,
We are trying to rehome a 3 year old male french bulldog.
We have had him since 8 weeks old. He has grown up with 4 kids youngest being 4 when we got the dog and he is now 7.
Oldest now being 19.
He has been around 2 other female French bulldogs who are 1 year younger than himself.
Approx 3 weeks ago we took him to 1 family, they had a 7 year old also. They had no pets in the home. we stayed for around 2 hours and then left with him there. He was good whilst we was there and when we left he seemed to be getting in between the father and the kid, snarling and growling and not allowing the father to go near the child. They dropped him back off the same night.
We decided maybe neutering was the best way forward and have had him neutered now around 1.5 weeks ago.
Another couple around 65 years of age made contact and they came to visit with their spayed female frenchie, our dogs and their dog all got on great on a walk, no issues at all, sniffing and jumping around all happy. The couple decided to purchase him and came back approx 3 hours later to collect him.
He went to their house and within 3 hours we had a call saying they need to return him because he has gone for their frenchie.
At home he is always around our feet which e assume is normal, but he doesnt always do what he is told, sometimes urinating in the home, we have a back garden and sometimes we leave the door open but if we closw the door, even for a moment whe. He is out there he will be jumping up and scatching the door to get in.
He can be a lovely dog. So much that 2 seperate families have agreed to buy him on his amazing first impressions, but then he seems to let himself down.
Any advice to help him get the home he deserves?
We really dont want to have to go down the euthanasia route as he is an amazing dog when he is behaving.
