(Stole this idea from the cat chat but it looked really fun so... :Bag:p)

(Not sure if we have one of these threads already but-) Ever wanted to make a new thread on random doggy stuff but felt it didn't belong in a thread?
I'll start -
A few days ago on our walk, Cookie managed to roll herself in loaaads of mud, and then decided to run up to everybody we passed in the woods and ask for a cuddle! :Arghh I put her lead on after a while because it was getting too embarrassing :p It took ages to wash it all off afterwards too!

This morning I took her to Pets@Homes and bought her some food that we haven't tried before - it looks quite good and she likes the chicken. Has anyone tried it? It's called Natures Menu Adult - Here's what it looks like-

Also Bonus photo of a big stick she found this morning :D

So Hilde is a warty old hog literally as she has many many warts all over her, vet assured me they are just warts, but she has caught or knocked the one on her lower back leg and then chewed it raw, so she is currently wearing the squishy cone of shame, but I think she looks like a haunted victorian child 🤣 she is also furious because I washed her and blasted her with the high velocity dryer and she has ended up half the dog she was with the amount of hair that came out of her, but if she could phone the RSPCA/Dog Trust and report me she absolutely would.

It is sad. Even when, no doubt I was a pain because of the sleep deprivation, there was always support there and helpful advice.
I understand why people left but now being dogless would seem weird joining another forum at this time, my dog is here.
Besides I still have cats, although trying to get ‘in’ on that side can be a hard task at times.

Roast chicken for Hannah tonight as she is a birthday girl!:D
She is now 17 yrs old. Doing well, apparently has heart disease (no symptoms though), abit hard of hearing and arthriticky joints but she is happy enough. Still going on a few short walks, although not too many but then again she was never a big walker to start with.
Just shocking that that teeny 6 week old puppy I could hold in my palm is now a little old lady!:giggle:

An unhappy Hilde but the picture made me chuckle (evil mother) she managed to chew the wart on her leg again as we thought it was sorted and well on the way to being all healed up but she had other ideas, so we are swapping between the doughnut of doom and a light wrapping of vet wrap. She is absolutely fine in the DofD it was just the way she was laying.

Hello. How are all you're dogs doing ?

I've been with Whisp for over 10 years now and I struggle to think of life without her.
I cherish every moment I spend with her.
Whisp looks comfy there, nice to see you back.
*pictures of all you're beautiful dogs please .
Happy to oblige with a pic of Dan taken sometime in June, he'll be 7 on October.

Sounds like the old guy regularly gives his dog instructions so maybe the dog has learnt left and right at least?
The dog seemed like it may have been deaf too but as I know all too well that doesn’t stop you talking to them.
Pip JRT x and libby chi x getting old. Libby is nearly 14 and recently diagnosed with pulmonary oedema secondary to congestive heart failure. She is on meds and doing well so far. 💗
That’s good she’s responding well.

Seems like alot of us have elderly dogs at the moment. I joined when I first got Adam and Hannah 17 yrs ago (holy crap! thats a long time!!LOL).
Heidi's dementia has regressed her right back to puppyhood. I have to take her to her puppy pads several times a day, esp after meals and waking up....and because of the whole zero teeth situation her meals are now mixed with water to make a gruel (that she gets everywhere! ).
It really is like having a little baby dog again, esp given she probably only weighs about 5Ibs at this point!

Had a bad weekend's worth of nights with my two (and don't get me started on Kay!!)

First, Saturday night, Honey started coughing about 8-9pm, kept it going until about 1. Then, just as I was dosing off again, Milly yipped in her sleep. Went to the shop yesterday for some honey (🍯) and both girls were fine all day.

Then, last night, it was Milly's turn with the coughing - not as often as Honey, but apparently neatly timed to coincide with just when I was dropping off. Every time. It's now 5:10, and she's sound asleep on the couch. No sign of a cough since I gave up and got up at 4:30).

She has an appointment for her Librela injection on Friday, so I'm in two minds whether to phone them today, or wait and see how she is and mention it to them then.
No coughing since 5:30. I'm wondering if it's environmental?

. Vet suggested KC, as apparently there's been a spike in cases, and I can see why he would think that given that both girls have had it, but they've both had the vaccine.

I was always told that even if they have the KC vaccine they can still get KC just a very lower dose.
