Have a little query for anyone who has had a radioactive iodine injection on their cat.
After treatment did you have a follow up blood test and were your cats kidney's okay?
My cat's urea level is 11.4 (should be between 6.0 - 10.0) and I have her booked in for Tuesday and am now doubting that I have done the right thing, as I read that hyperthyroidism can mask kidney issues.
Am worried because if I cure the hyperthyroidism she may end up with kidney issues and read that it can't be treated with tablets only by diet
Eeeekkkk have paid my deposit and am now wondering if I've done the right thing for my furbaby.
If anyone has had a similar issue I'd be so grateful for advice or details of your experience. I have emailed my vet last night to explain my concern, am hoping he will contact me tomorrow with his advice and I can go from there.
