1998 game now free on EA's Origin program. Okay graphics aren't much but may be fun and bring back some memories for people.

I was just playing this the other night (I have the original CD). I ALWAYS use the cheat codes to get extra cash etc though.

You have to wait for the fax machine to pop up with a message, but when it does you dial '24328', then at any point in the game you can press Shift C for cash. You can also press Ctrl C to complete research.

theme hospital used to crash the very old computer... i banned its use in the end! DD and the ex used to enjoy it.

If you run into problems when running it, notably locking and crashing when it starts up here is a fix:
Find the DosBox.conf file. For me it was located at D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Theme Hospital\data\Game\DOSBox\dosbox.conf
Open using notepad or similar
Change "output=surface" to "output=openglnb" without any quotes
Save and close. Restart Theme Hospital.

I've been playing this loads lately, it's really stood the test of time! There's an add on type thing which makes it play in higher resolutions, google CorsixTH. It's also got custom maps and scenarios to complete and you can design your own levels
