i’ve had my cat nyla for almost two years and we’ve always been close but now she doesn’t seem to care for me? in July she had a litter of kittens and the day after she had her kittens we got kicked out of our house so she had to stay with one of my friends for almost 3 months. now she’s living with me but she doesn’t really seem to care for me even though when she was living with me before she was always cuddly even after she had her babies she would leave her babies for me so I’m just confused.

How long is it since Nyla came back to live with you? How often did you see her in the 3 months she lived with your friend? Several times a week?
It sounds as though Nyla had begun to settle living with your friend and had bonded with them. Now Nyla is confused by being uprooted again and moved to another new home. Cats are attached first and foremost to territory, and secondly to their owners. To have 3 different homes in the space of 3 months is a lot for Nyla to adjust to.
Cats are creatures of habit, and they like routine. It is how they feel safe. It must have been a shock to Nyla to lose her home and her owner when she was in a vulnerable condition having just had kittens. It was wonderful your friend could step in and offer your cat and her kittens somewhere safe to stay.
I think you need to give your cat a lot more time to settle in with you. At least as long as the time she was away from you (3 months). Possibly longer.

Also thank you for your help i’ve been trying to slowly bond with her but not too much to the point where she is stressed, i’m not sure if it helps but i’ve also kept her favorite blanket on my bed that she used prior to us moving.
