I got a large litter box with a cover and a door....to prevent litter tracking or litter being splashed out(even with small quantities of litter)....the door is removable as well as the cover...the kittens I have had no problems with the cover...they even used the covered boxes more than the uncovered...the problem with one of the kittens was with the door....the first kitten got into the box....done it's business...and out with ease from the very first time....the second one got inside...done it's business...and suddenly enlarged pupils with sad mewos that she is stuck....I tried showing her how the first kitten got out but no use...she tries the wrong side of the door and mewos sadly with enlarged pupils...is there a way to get her used to the door?

Ps:
the doors are easy to access

Doors on covered litter boxes should be permanently removed. Cats should not be completely enclosed when they use the litter box, they need to be able to see out, to feel comfortable. Your kitten is afraid to come out because she can't see whether it is safe outside the box. Please remove the doors!

Most cat litters are quite dusty and it is not fair for the cats to have to breathe in all that dust when they are using the boxes, digging holes and burying.

A door does not help with containing litter; litter is brought out on the cats' feet. I recommend buying litter mats to put in front of the litter boxes. They have a rough surface which catches the bits of litter off their feet as they exit the box. They work perfectly in my house. This is the kind of thing:

I got the same litter tray with the same amount of litter....my kittens dig in so aggressively like there is no tomorrow... especially after I scoop out all of their stool and urine...

so I come and see the mat full of litter and everything....sometimes they dig their poop out
