Would you say that an 18" glass tank is big enough for my two gerbils, they have lived in it for two years but i have been looking at it for some time thinking it may be to small, what would you say

It's not ridiculously small but personally I would go bigger for two. I am getting one Gerbil on Sunday (lone rescue girl) and she is moving into a 30" glass tank, but I think that is very big for one gerbil, so that's just me going over the top as per
If you don't think it's big enough then it will probably be best to get a bigger one to put your mind at ease, the gerbils won't complain
I don't have my tape measure to hand but if i'm not mistaken, i have an 18" tank but i use it as a quarentine/hospital tank. If it's the size i'm thinking of then it's def too small for 2 gerbils.
18 inches seems a bit small to me as well. I have my two gerbils (there was originally three but sadly one has now died) in a 30 inch tank with a savic cage topper so they can dig and create tunnels in the whole of the tank and they run around it like it is nothing
I have never had a problem thou, There have been 5 gerbils in this tank, and two got to a very old age, one died of an unknown cause and there are the two in there now.
they werent all in there at once there were two on there and once they had died we got 2 more, but the person who gave them me said that they had had a sister left alone in the shop so I was persuaded to get a third, but sadly one died
