Hi
My poor 4 year old mixed tabby had to have surgery last week ( Tues ) to remove some 'string like material' she had swallowed. Just prior to that surgery the vet informed us she'd got fleas ! ( so doubly mortified - She's an indoor cat ) But have read since that no where is really safe from these critters ! Felt dreadful though that I had not taken the addiquate precautions on both counts ( The thread she swallowed appears to have been pulled from curtain tassel tie backs ! So please take care. Anyway where am I going on this - Fortunately so far so good after surgery ! Kitty is home taking her tabs ! Eating, sleeping and going to the loo as she should be doing etc However her main discomfort, poor love, are these damn fleas ! Clearly we are spraying our home, hoovering like it's gone out of fashion and running what appears to be a Chinese laundry ! Everything is getting washed ! BUT the vet has told us to lay off the flea treatment for the cat for at least a fortnight ! Thing is I was so relieved to be taking her home ( Thurs last week ) I didn't ask why :-| - Can anyone of you good folk enlightened me ? As I'm not sure how much more 'we' can all take - Especially poor kitty whose being annoyed to misery by these aliens ! X
