hi all, pretty new to the forum so please excuse me if this has been covered.
I have a 14 week old bedlington and she is doing great!

I need some advice on grooming, she is brushed every few days, hates the water and smells like heaven (puppy style). I have researched many views on when to get her coat cut for the first time and found many different opinions.
Some are disappointed with the coat after trimming at a young age and some say sooner the better as the coat will grow thicker the more it's trimmed?

What age should I start her with grooming? I understand a visit to my local dog groomer will help her relax but worry about getting the progress of her coat disrupted as we live in the countryside and it gets very wet and cold out there

maybe have a chat with your breeder and see what they advise. i also live out in the country and i have two poodles, one of which is seven months and kept in a show cut. i need to sort out getting an all-in-one suit like this http://www.groomers-online.com/pet-...s-c33/dog-c34/accessories-c45/coats-c151/show-tech-waterproof-trouser-suit-p734 if i was you i would get in the habit of combing her coat through after each walk, especially on her legs and belly cos if she's owt like my two she'll be getting all sorts of grass caught up in it. also if you have to dry her, pat her dry rather then rub so you don't snap her coat. look forward to seeing pics of your pup :)
