What a morning in the ewelsh household, I was busy gardening when I saw The Kray twins playing with a tiny cardboard box, I went to look and saw it was Libby’s Maxitrol eye drops….
I grabbed both Phoebe and Dolly forcing my fingers in their mouth sniffing their breath… nothing…
I ran in the house searching frantically for Libbys eye drops, nowhere to be seen… frantically googled about ingested eye drops which stated “ contact vets immediately or poison control”
I rang my vets hysterically and explained, they asked if they had definitely swallowed the drops, I said I couldn’t be sure but the drops were no where to be found.
They asked if I had charcoal tablets, of course I had used them all up when the Kray twins tried to eat a toad. So I had to rush them in immediatel.

So I fly through the vets door looking an absolute fright, wellies, old joggers, dirty t shirt, with two baffled Westie‘s under each arm… the surgery was full and everyone was very concerned when I explained I had to jump the queu.
The vet took us straight through, feeling their tummies looking in their eyes mouth etc, the nurse came in to help, then I rubbed myself trying to calm myself down and then I froze…

Libbys eye drops were down my bra 😳 I didnt know if I should laugh or cry….

How embarrassing

Could only happen to you - I do miss your "disaster" stories when you're away, the funny ones that make me laugh out loud that is !!

(I had similar when I thought Lily had ingested one of my Metformin tablets - after phoning the poison line and getting her to the vet urgently (where they kept her in for fluids , observation etc) I finally found said tablet UNDER my bed. So a couple of hours later, red faced and with my wallet a couple of hundred pounds lighter I brought her back home. Lesson learnt - NEVER leave any of my meds within paw's reach )

Honestly these pets of mine, I put Libby drops down my bra this morning as she hates cold drops, I completely forgot they were there. I have a small drawer where all things like this go because I can‘t trust Libby the “ knock it off the worktop queen”
My vet laughed when said drops were discovered. At least I wasn’t charged nor had my girls had treatment like you
@Bertie'sMum 😯

Off back to vets now, praying Lottie is a good girl for once…..

How hilarious! It sounds like the sort of disaster I would have. :ROFLMAO:

Only you, Emma!!
Lottie the ASBO :ROFLMAO: I bet they loved you in there yesterday lol.
I think you need your own blog page ;)

I’ve only just seen this and boy oh boy did it make me chuckle :)

(Glad everything was alright in the end and could become a funny story)

I was chuckling on and off yesterday as it put me in mind of one of my favourite escapades. Not so much Emma this time but her OH and the Christmas turkey 🤣🤣🤣
Bonus was the photo showing one of the "turkeys" and Emma's comment!!😂😂😂
