Should I cat-sit?

Can I catsit at my place if I already have cats?

I have two rescue kittens. They are seven month old siblings and get along great. They’re indoor cats. They are scared easily.

A family member has asked me to watch their two year old cats for 5 weeks. One is a large maine coon cat and the other is a persian breed. They are outdoor cats but would have to stay indoors for the duration at my place. These two don’t fight, but they also don’t get along well.

What are your thoughts? To be honest I don’t really want to watch them because my cats are scared and like their peace.

Plus they eat wet and dry food while the maine coon and persian only eat dry- so feeding kind of stresses me out.

However, if I get feedback that it’s easy.. then I will definitely think about it.

Thanks so much for reading, and thanks in advance!

Edit: Sorry, I should have posted in the Cat Forum!

I have asked a mod to move your thread.

I agree with the others. Don't say yes. Your two have to come first and you have to consider your own stress as well. Not only will you be stressed, but your stress will affect your kittens.

The two adult cats will be happier in their own home.

If feasible, offer to care for therm by going over to their home a couple times a day, or help your family member find a pet sitter.
Thanks so much for asking a mod to move my thread. I appreciate it.

Thanks lorilu and everyone for your kind and helpful replies! You've put my mind at ease. I added a detail to my post that I had forgotten- the cat sitting would be for 5 weeks. Considering the advice on this thread, it seems very impractical and stressful.
