That was my very first thought too. There are a number of things that could cause a dog's breath to start going bad. Sooner it's diagnosed, the better the outcome.

There’s nothing to diagnose she’s been to the vets he said it’s perfectly normal just to try a bone as that’s a natural way of dogs cleaning their teeth. Do you seriously think that wasn’t my first port of call ! Hence why I asked what bones can anyone recommend as he wasn’t specific ! Jeez

Unfortunately I'm not a mind reader so obviously was unaware you'd already taken your dog to the vet. Perhaps if you'd mentioned it? ............

 

Are you saying there is nothing to diagnose, or has the vet actually checked your girls mouth and found that everything is ok ?
Just be sure that there are NO rotten teeth or red and sore gums,otherwise she will have problems trying to chew the bones that you are giving her..

Raw chicken bones are quiet safe to give to our dogs, preferably the bones that are too big to swallow in one gulp. Raw lamb rib bones if well chewed can become quiet fibreous on the end, pigs ribs too. Excellent !
It will do no harm for your dog to have any of these bones, it will aid with tooth and gum health, they also have a good nutritional value.
If completely eaten they should be considered as part of daily food rations
