Ive just been told about someone who crossed his legs when he went to change gears! 1 of the things about learning to drive is learning to let your limbs do different things at the same time.

I had a few lessons when i was about 21, and when i got to 60mph on the way to a place called Tetney from Cleethorpes i went to change gear and the stearing wheel was all over as both my hands wanted to do the same thing! i wanted the ground to swollow me up! how i didnt go off road i dont know lol

fess up....tell me your stories!! :D

I had 4 instructors in 3 years. 4th one was great other ones where shite!

On my driving test i drove on the right hand sided of the road and nearly caused a major accident :/

One time in my 4th instructor's brand new car, I kerbed the car quite hard and drove so close through plants that I scratched his car.... all in the same lesson!

The only bad thing I can remember is that whenever something started to go wrong I'd just take my hands off the wheel and cover my eyes!

My instructor managed to stamp it out of me and I passed first time with 1 minor! :aureola:

Oh it does. I had to sit here and figure out which leg I'm meant to brake with to know which one I go to accidentally use all the time. Right foot braking = wrong to me! I'm not even left footed.

I passed in one test with two minors, no idea how :scared:

The joys of good ole' Paul Smith at Skegness

Easily solved, I was like that so I'd click twice. Once when I saw it once when it moved more in your way, I got something like 55 not massively high but who cares :p

Dont they do it differently now aswell, like tell you to drive to a specific place rather than directing you?

Yep, they'll tell you a place and you have to drive there!

 I kept doing really stupid things like driving on the wrong side of the road (that HONESTLY wasn't my fault - they changed the signs whilst I was in the test center - really!!)

And then I reversed into a skip...and after those 2 it all went downhill
