    As above really!
Are you working towards a training or show title?

Are you thinking of adding another dog?

Are you determined to finally crack a bit of training or behaviour modification you've been battling with?

Are you considering giving up, selling the dogs to the circus and running off into the sunset, never to be seen charging around after an errant pooch again?

    Share your plans!

Haha, good post @Katalyst . My plans are few, but mean a great deal to us - they are to continue to go for longer and longer walks if possible to explore our lovely countryside, to meet some more doggy friends and be really nice (we only have two boyfriends at the moment), and to grow old together!

My hopes as we begin another new year are pretty much the same every year, I had hoped to end the year with two dogs, sadly that is not the case, so I will be hoping to start and end 2019 with my remaining boy at my side. I am forever working on his reactiveness (ridiculous over excite/frustrated wail on sight of another dog) but now its just him I have more choices of time and area to walk so maybe this will be the year to finally stop the banshee screaming!

I'm desperately trying to get Danny to ignore our awful neighbours and their awful dogs. One of them has tried jumping through our hedge a few times, and the owners ignored us when we told them about it :Muted
Danny now goes off on one every time he hears it out there (which seems to be allllllllllllllllllllllll the time), and Bradley is too scared to play outside when it's out, because it paces up and down the hedge huffing at him.

So I want them both to be braver, a little less bolshie, and to just ignore the stupid piece of buttmud.

Sadly I most likely won't be in a position to add another dog. I will NOT go to four no matter what as I struggle with three at times, so no new pups for me :( which kind of ruins plans for a Cash puppy...again. There are plans of a repeat mating next year probably around summer time :)

I will continue to train & compete in obedience, want to complete one of his parkour specialist titles, and would love to concentrate more on tracking & potentially Scentwork next year too.

As for Missy & Ty, I just want them to maintain good health in their old age now and especially with Missy continue to nurture & spend quality time with her. Next year I anticipate way more separate walks as her exercise needs in particular are way different now to the boys. Would also love to get her away to Wales which I've been promising to do again for the past 5 years

No more dogs for me though I am tempted when I look at rescue dogs . Pip and Libby are a handful together so I need to do more separate walks to concentrate on them individually.

My hope hasn't changed since Christmas 2015, so I shall continue to hope.
In the mean time continue working on getting Bungo to not react to the neighbour and not to be so afraid of white dogs.

My plans should I ever get this bloody tendonitis, (shoulder rotary cuff problem sorted, which was courtesy of Emma to start with!) is to get her walking to heal properly and not wanting to great everything and every body like they are her long lost family. All hopes of ever getting her through the KCGC awards has gone by the by due to this shoulder problem. At present I just don't have the strength or inclination to start working on it !

Can anyone find last year's thread like this - can't remember what my goals were! By this time next year i would like to have Tilly's recall as good in woods as it is on the beach. That's going to be a toughie i think.

Annoyingly bonnie is a female dog and the cat doesn't seem to mind it all that much. I do have an odd pair of pets

Find some motivation to train again - focus around strangers and around birds, cats, other dogs.
She loses her mind with excitement, no idea how to really tackle those - around people I've hit a wall so gave up. Birds are the worst, dumb dog looks up and starts running so she's face planted a few fences and trees  Dogs have always barked at her and now she's happy to bark back, typically once before I get her out of there - need to try work on that :Sorry

    This!!

I would like to start getting Chester out competing in Rally. However really I just want him to be less anxious and less shadow chase-y and to be able to open a set of curtains and not have him lose his mind. My goal is for him to be happy and enjoy life, after 6 months with us we have made huge steps towards to learing what makes the other tick, trusting each other and how to communicate and work effectively together so I want to build on that over the coming year.

I would like to add another dog maybe around Spring time but the reason I havent added a dog already is because Jessie could no longer cope with it. She's too ill and too frail now to deal with a much younger example. Her toilet training has gone out of the window, she cant do longer walks anymore (about an hour/3 miles is her limit) and Flynn is happy with that too. I dont have time to exercise dogs separately. Bringing in another dog now would be very stressful all round. If Jessie is still here by Spring then i'll have to continue to put everything on hold. But, having said that, Flynn will be 12 by that time and who knows what i'll be dealing with regarding him health wise. I put my plans for another dog on hold when Jed was ill, then I lost him and needed time to get over that and then by that time Jessie had deteriorated too.

Probably about the only thing I really would like to do is take the dogs on holiday one last time before either of them deteriorate any more. March this year was supposed to be our last holiday but it was so awful i'd like to finish on a better one. I havent been able to go so far because i'm waiting for surgery and until I know when that is I cant make any plans. But i'm hoping we'll be able to go March again if they stay fit enough.

I just hope that Dillons health doesn't get any worse and that the winter doesn't have a bad affect him to much.

Not sure the circus would want them, so going to continue with my never-ending quest to try and get them lost in the woods. I'm getting close with Benji, he's a bit of a dawdler so I just need to run faster... :D

Seriously though, I think I could do with doing more training in general with them. Nothing special, just brushing up on stuff they already know & teaching new tricks to keep their brains working, but on a more regular basis as we've gotten a bit lazy
