    Anyone going?

We went last year & I can't recommend it enough - it's a proper country show that celebrates dogs & horses and encourages people to bring along their dogs (but perhaps not their horses lol). There's a fun dog show (think it's £1 or £2 per class - I am hoping Ruby will win best rescue for the 2nd year running ;)) more dog displays than you can shake a stick at as well as a gundog show, terrier show, lurcher show, birds of prey, and a discover dogs style thing although it's just for Gundogs and wasn't all that impressive, there were about 8 dogs in there pmsl  there's also a fair ground, loads of food stalls, plenty of shopping and some charity/rescue stalls.

It's at harewood house in Leeds on the 29th & 30th of May, which is Sunday & Monday. Last year the weather was beautiful and it was my favourite day out of the whole year - I can't wait :) :D

Tickets are well worth the money & can be bought in advance if you want to save a couple of quid.

Hope to see some of you there!! Not sure which day we're going yet, gotta ask the OH but since it's a few days after my 21st birthday then I'm sure there won't be a problem :D

Was the camping good? I am thinking of camping but will be taking at least one dog so it's a guaranteed disaster anyway lol have to find out if I'm working on the Monday or not first.

You should come this year! I can't believe it's only been going for 4 years, its better established than my local country show that's been running for generations lol

No the camping wasnt good its just a field really with portable toilets etc but we are self sufficient with the caravan so was fine it was brilliant you would enjoy the camping, because it was hot the weekend we went we went into the show for the morning came back t the caravan for luch and a couple of beers then back for the afternoon it was great waking up right next to the show ground watch ing then training exercising the gun dogs, unless you want a 4 star site then dont camp but i would say go for it.

I am a bit more worried about pikeys breaking into our tent tbh

Last year I noticed a few unsavoury looking characters hanging around the outskirts eyeing up some of the dogs and my worry would be that we'd come back to a broken into tent - not that we'd leave anything valuable or leave the dogs in there. It's just a worry. We probably wont end up camping cos I'm pretty sure I'm working on the Monday but we will see.... It'd be nice to take a disposeable BBQ if it's allowed and have a mini birthday party :D

Yeah, bring Kilo if you can, it'll be great socialisation for him :) I saw a few other ridgies there last year :)

I am definitely going to bring Ruby & am considering bringing Tiger but he isn't great around other dogs so i really don't know.
