Looks like everyone's having fun! A very quiet spot to camp to. Lucky Alfie! I'm off camping with my lot the end of this week, just me and four dogs - this could go badly wrong!

It was actually a quite busy site, but the pitches were large and fairly private.

What type of site are you going to and what on earth are you going to do with the dogs when you need the loo?:confused:

    It looks lovely.

Toilet trips require a bit of logistics. My tent connects to the back of my truck so if it's not too hot I leave them in the boot of the truck with the back window wound down (there is a dog guard over it and the front of the truck is covered in a reflective sheet). If it's too hot, this campsite only has a portaloo, I take the dogs with me and tie them to the hooks that hold the loo down. I can hear if anyone's coming and warn them off and if needs be burst out with my trousers round my ankles to frighten them away

Have really enjoyed my camping trips this year.

1st time out I arrived in the dark and the dog was scared to get in the tent/ then reluctant to get out of it. Had him wrapped in a blanket on my lap the first night to stop him barking at the potential dog murderers that appear after dark  Back in the tent he just curled up and went to sleep.

    He loves it now.

It's always a worry the first time you go.........will the dog bark and get you kicked off the campsite ;)

Muddy seemed to enjoy it a lot more this time too

Other times we've felt that we've dragged him away from his home comforts

It's how he lives his whole life. make the most out of every opportunity :D

Met another camper with a Golden Retriever while out on one of Alfies leg stretch walks. She asked me how old my puppy was

She genuinely thought Alfie was a puppy

Mind, hers was 4, very overweight and was struggling more than Alfie to walk :(

It had had double cruciate ops a year or so earlier :(
