I bought/rescued some yellow mud turtles from local pet shop just over a year ago, they were being kept in a tank way too small for them and one of them had some wounds on his shell.

Unfortunately I lost one of them a few months ago (my male with the wounds on his shell) and although my female is playing the happy widow I have been keeping an eye out for any others I see, as she is in a large pond by herself.
Are they fairly rare in the UK? as I haven't come across any others as of yet?
