At last over this weekend Willow seems to have turned the corner and is now improving vastly after her spay operation nearly 2 weeks ago. She developed an infection and really hasn't been well since, she had her stitches out on Thursday night and the vet said in view of the complications she had developed to still keep her on short lead walks for another week. Yesterday was the first day she actually asked to go out and she is now back to normal with her eating - thank goodness. Have attached a few pics of her over past 2 days, it is so nice to see her looking much better, it really wasn't nice her not being well. Even my son posed for a pic with her & Harvey as he was so relieved she was much improved.

The only thing I am worried a little about now is that she seems to be panting much more than usual, although the vet did say it is to be expected after her being spayed and it should get less.

    This is fantastic news.

It sounds like poor Williow had a real rough time of it :-( but it sounds like it's all getting better from here on.

    :)

Bet you cant wait to let her off the lead again. We still arnt letting Millie off lead much at all. Only in very controlled environments, ie garden or our field, where we can 100% control contact with other dogs. Our regular haunts are so busy in this nice weather with dogs who obviously havnt been off lead in months!

I hope she continues to improve in the next few days :)

Sorry to hear Willow had a tough time after her spay operation, but glad she is finally improving now :)

Fingers crossed the extra panting is more from the bad weather and is nothing to worry about
