Random topic of the day :001_tongue:

I was cuddled up to Sabrina in bed last night, telling her that she's my gorgeous little panther when hubby came up to bed and said "If she was the size of a panther, she'd have maulled you to death and eaten you by now".

It got me thinking, if our cats suddenly became big cat sized, would they eat us?

Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think my three would as they seem to treat me with genuine affection and not just tolerance

    Whatcha reckon?

Nancy would, she has terrible manners. Claude however would probably try and find something with better breeding to eat - he'd be off to Windsor looking for brunch :D

No. I think he understands that we provide the food. He'd be crazy to eliminate his supplier. He'd continue to be lovely and to bring us gifts. They'd just be bigger, like other people.

I think Phoebe would try, judging by how much she likes to bite me
But I don't think she could be bothered- too much chewing, she likes her food nicely mashed up :D

Oh-oh, if Mr T liked his humans mashed we'd have to be careful. Especially at the weekends.

They wouldn't, they love me. One adores me, the other is devoted and the 3rd is slow (handicapped) so I can easily dodge her.

Now, if I ever did try to give them a bath, the outcome will be quite different...

Lily would cheerfully maul me to bits if I came near her with a brush.

I don't think Jasmine would though, she seems to like me :p

Tia and Millie no. Apache would do me the most damage from licking. Tango would just be a bigger pussycat. But Gabby? Well, if you tickle her belly, you'd be as good as lunchmeat!

From Puss Puss I would loose some fingers, maybe my hand as she likes play biting with my fingers.
Shadow would lick me to death

im thinking domino is trying to kill me at the average size he is
I had a cut one which he smelt the blood from, came over, started licking it which then led to nibbling!

    No, they are fussy eaters....:p
However, I sometimes do pretend to eat Nuno. I "massage" him with pretend marinade, then "grill" him, turning him over and over and patting him with a pretend spatula. Then I spread imaginary mayo on him and pretend to eat him, making snorting, piggy, slurpy noises. He LOVES it. (OH of course thinks I'm mad)

Tiny wouldn't even need to be panther-sized before he started eating me. I sleep with one eye open at all times.

I'm in too minds as to whether Arnar would.

I know she looks at all humans with nothing but contempt, so I can't help thinking she would turn her nose up at me as a meal.

Given that I've tried to feed her all kinds of things that should be treats and she just turns her nose up with an expression of "you expect me to eat that?" I somehow doubt she'd take a nibble at me. apparently I'm her jailor and tormentor. She might kill me, but I doubt she'd eat me.

Ithil wouldn't. I'm his protector. I save him from all the scary things like his own shadow, our seven week old kitten, and the sound of his own feet on the laminate flooring!

Delicately, regretfully, but yes I think they would.

    No, They would not.
They would still be teh same personalties, only bigger.
If they wanted to eat me, they could try to bite a chunk off right now.
If they were locked in with me dead and were desperate for food, they probably would, but otherwise..... no way.
They see us as some sort of strange huge stupid cats, and it would be like cannibalism to them.

I don't think they would if they're affectionate :) have you seen the video "lion hugs and kisses woman" she rescued him and nursed him back to health. It's lovely to see a huge lion be so affectionate.

My Lola would probably maul me if I had chicken in my hand, she does it already now. You would honestly think I dnt feed her the way she attacks my hand for the chicken!
