I was walking the dogs on my local park last night when there was an almighty explosion in one of the houses across the road. The area where I had been walking just moments previously was showered with rubble and glass.

Two people have been left seriouly injured after an explosion at a house in Stockhill Lane, Nottingham.

The woman who was injured is a friend of my daughter and we are all reeling from the shock.

Bizkit ran away as far as he could when it exploded but my faithful JRT Pippi never left my side. I had to go find Biz hiding by the fence as far away from the explosion as he could. I am a bit shell shocked today.

Please say a prayer for my daughter's friend and her family.

I know, killer deer and now this all in 4 days. I might have to give up dog walking and invest in a treadmill instead.

They are saying it was a gas explosion, but strangely there was no fire

How awful, what a terrifying experience for everyone involved, my thoughts are very much with the family, and I send you a huge hug too.
