yes working trials is an actual event in itself.

From what i can work out the dogs are trained with a version of the police dog training, they have to do a bit of everything, agility, obedience, tracking etc it looks quite intense and hard work but id imagine it really keeps the dogs active and fit, id like to find out more but its proving a bit difficult. :(

Working Trials aren't known for a strong online presence, as I've found.
But there are some websites that may help:
    Working Trials Co UK
Working Trials | The Kennel Club
    Working Trials - Real Dogs

Would love to do this with my dog... it's so much more than agility/obedience and genuine titles can be earned such as CDex, WDex, TDex, PDex, UDex. I'd have a lot of respect for any dog that earned these, and while I DO respect agility and obedience titles, this is that too but with a lot more 'knobs on'!

We just started training Buster and Silas to do it. They do tracking, long jump, a scale up to 6 foot depends on what size your dog is at the lower levels anyway and obedience. They had fun so far but we've only had 1 class.
