After reading a thread of SLB's , it prompted me to get a move on and get Chesters new winter coat ordered..as I would have left it till winter was nearly over so it's a very early Christmas present :)

Might have to alter the elastic a little but other than that its spot on :D

    What a gorgeous boy :)

Gorgeous coat too. I think Dexter would look good in a Hurtta but it would make Skip look tiny and drown him out, me thinks lol.

Skip has his Barbour one though :D

Chester looks very smart in his new coat.

I'm getting one of these for Zab but can't decide on the waterproof one and the winter one. How thick is the inside fleece? just worried if he gets too hot as hes very active on walks.

Yes, we were already considering a thin one for when she goes for her late night/early morning wee as she already shivers after 10 minutes.

I will definitely have to look into a descent one soon as winter is approaching :)

Not as thick to feel as I expected tbh , but, once on and wrapped round the chest area and up the sides, i would think it will be quite warm..and i imagine the neck area being warm with the extra layer of fur , so it may be better to go with the waterproof ones..

I wanted one for our 5:30 am walks In winter before I go to work as sometimes it's Baltic

SLB is getting delivery of the waterproof ones soon, so she may be ale to help there ..

Thanks will definitely look into them :) I'm not used to having a little short haired dog as my wheaten with his coat has one coat for when it's pouring or especially cold LOL

Laura - I'll put up pictures of mine when they arrive, the order has been pushed back again because they are awaiting delivery from their supplier. The cheaper place to get them is Viovet.

If you do get one and Zab does get cold you could always get him a cheap dog tee or jumper underneath, thats what I'm planning for Pen as she feels the cold a lot despite her double coat.

Yeah please that would be great - What colours have you ordered ?

Now that's an idea, didn't think of that  That would be a better than getting the winter one.

 Thats what I thought when I was dithering with Pen. Her jumper cost me a fiver from Kennelgate so why spend £40 odd on a coat that I could only use in cold wet weather instead of a coat that I could use in warm but wet weather :p

I've ordered all black, they didn't have Pink, Orange and Green - so if they don't have the dogs' normal colours I go for black :)
