I personally think it was back to the times of the musicals, with gene kelly and frank sinartra in them, i always used to think the women looked lovely back then

I think the 50's - which is the musical era that you are thinking of. I'd love to wear some of those dresses!!

I think the 50's....womens dresses were wonderful! I love to look at the pics my Mum has of that era....she used to make her own dresses and they were so glam! Today's fashion is just can't match it!

I think the every day wear of the 1930's was far more glamorous than the 1950's

I have to agree wiv you Rona, the 70's were my favourite era for films and music, but for glamour dressing it had to be from 30's to the 50's this is the sort of thing i mean, i just love some of the hair styles from
back then, these were the times that women were allowed to be women in my eyes, when i say that i mean that they could dress feminine and the like

this is what i mean, Debbie Reynolds was a great actress

OH NO platformed shoes, hot pants, mini skirt with a Maxi coat:eek: knee high white plastic boots in the summer, lion-cut hair styles. I cringe every time I look at the photos, I could die of embarrassment.:blushing::blushing::blushing:

It's got to be the 40/50's elegant.
