I used to call most by their title 'Mr & Mrs' but other friends mums n dads allowed most of us to call them by their first names. Some friends' parents were older than other friends' parents, so maybe because of the generation gap thingy that's why the difference was there.

I always used to call friends parent Mr/Mrs..... It was a respect thing for me.

Now i'm a Mum I insist on my boys friends calling us Jon/Shelley-Michelle. Luke calls his best friends parents by their first names. Michaels best friends Mum is a teaching assistant in his english class, he calls her "Miss" :D She moaned at me saying that she's told Michael to call her by her first name when he's at their house, but he refuses too saying that he'd feel weird calling her by anything else :D
