I did a quote on my car, which is a 1100cc Fiat Cinqecento Sporting. I put my mum on as a second driver and it came out at £760.

    EDIT: That was fully comp.

I thought mine was over the top at £400 a year, but appears not! I have a Ford SportKa 1.6se. My problem is I only have 1 years no claims, having spent centuries as the named driver on my ex's policy:(

I'm a new driver, so £760 isn't too bad. My younger brother has the same car as me, and he would pay £2000 for the same sort of insurance. So he rides a motor bike as that's much cheaper to insure :)

Mine is £180 fully comp.for a Nissan 1800cc...the road tax is £65 more than that...first time in my life I've paid more road tax than insurance.

Churchill/Admiral and co. wouldn't even quote me as I'm over sixty.and yet I have a clean driving record for over twenty years....crazy.

Yeah, I remember mine being around £800 when I first passed. It was so annoying - finally had a car and couldn't afford to go anywhere!! :p

My punto was £1400 this year, only £800 next year. I was with admiral and they just horrendous. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Have you paid £800 for yours or is that what it's coming up as? On a quote with the company I'm with mine comes up more expensive dunno why but it's cheaper than it states which is good..!

I paid about £1400 ish for my first year too. Be lucky to get under £2000 for year one now I think.

my 20 year old daughter was insured with tesco and got her renewal quote through for 1800 for a 2003 polo, she then went on line and found tesco quotes for 960:eek: phones them to accept the quote and give her staff number ( she works for tesco and had used her staff number on the previous quote) the lady told her it was now 670, how on earth can it change so much with the same company for exactly the same thing, but as a new customer going on line she got a great discount rather than just renewing:nono:
