following on from Charley Rogans best car thread what is the worst car youve ever owned or driven? I had a 1150 fiesta, it was so underpowered that I had to wait till there were no cars for a mile in each direction before I dared come out of a junction, it also had dodgy brakes and I had to stamp on the brakes and pray that it made it, it was one of my first cars and I didnt know how bad it was till I got in a car with decend brakes etc .

    LOL where do I start.
An old escort with a hole under the brake peddle you could see the road through :scared:
An 1970's land Rover with no hand brake - hill starts were interesting.

I've only been driving a couple of years so have been a little spoilt.

Always fancied driving a car without power steering just see how hard it is.

Merc SL55, was the most horrid car i have ever driven on local roads...it was either following the camber of the road or the wider rear tyres were following banding/joins on the tarmac and the arse end always seemed to want to go its own way, scary. Also, a Prodrive tweaked Imprezza WRX, was the most hooligan thing i have ever played in, was SOOOO much fun, but in 6 months i would either...

    A: Have no licence left

B: Have crashed through the pearly gates backwards, and on fire.

    C: Both of the above.

My parents owned the old BUBBLE CAR, I was 6 at the time and I remember I had to sit on the shelf while my little sister sat on my mums lap, it was tiny inside, wow that is going back some years, but I remember it well, the door opened out the front of the car. Wicked.

Got to be either my fiat panda (the old skinny box on wheels style one) or a chevette - or 'shove it' as they were commonly known.

The worst car I've ridden in was a really old 2nd hand Fiat Uno, something would fall off it every day, one day the window winder, the next day a windscreen wiper, etc.

    It's been scrapped now thankgod!
I ride in a Fiat Punto now  Better than nothing I say :rolleyes:x

I'm not really sure to be honest that I've ever driven a "worst car" - as in one that drove me insane.
My first car, purchased while learning to drive in 1998, was a VW Polo made in 1982. The bonnet colour didn't match the bodywork, the seats were torn and she needed filling up with water every 10 miles but I LOVED driving her.
Well, I say that, but the day I passed my test I walked into a VW dealership and ordered a brand new one to my specification LOL.
Seriously though, the worst car I ever drove was probably a Ford Escort courtesy car. I hated how dull and boring the drive was.

LOL. Start eating your spinach now. Your muscles will need it when you find a tight parking space. ;)

I hope you stick around these parts for a while. I've a feeling from this and your previous posts today that you'll fit RIGHT in here! ;)

Go and eat worms welshie.

I would LOVE to be able to get into a bubble car and drive it, even just for one hour. I adore them! I kind of have a fetish for small cars (I don't need to make up for anything else you see ;) LOL )

Well as we came off one motorway onto another a car flashed us so I thought he was just letting us into the lane off the slip road. As we went along a couple of other cars flashed us and I noticed a bit of smoke coming out the back, so thinking I had blown the engine I pulled onto the hard shoulder and slowed down. Once the speed droped the flames came out from the bonnet. So I got out quick went round the back to get the dogs out and the cages were locked, had to get back in the front to get the keys, got the dogs out and tied to a tree on the embankment. Then remembered the brand new sat nav so I got that and my ruck sack out. Got back up the embankment to the dogs and realised my mobile was still in the van but it was too late for that. Had to walk back to the other motorway to the emergency phone with the dogs and a stupid women telling me to perform a u turn every ten seconds. By the time I was walking back I couldn't see any smoke so thought perhaps it wasn't too bad. Got to the motorway the van was on to find it was coned off with police cars, fire engines and ambulances. All for a dog show

now why does this sound so familiar?? :D

My lovely Renault5 (red, called Strawberry) broke down. I needed a car very urgently but had little money, we got this Fiat Uno and we drove away really happy, yelling "spagetti, lasagna, miracoli, linguini etc" but afterwards it was a really bad buy. I sold it afterwards to a young girl that had just started to drive.

but the best car WE have owned (was in my name too) BMW 5 series, even i could drive it with him in the passanger seat! i once drove 20 miles, i was so proud, i had only had 2 propper driving lessons too! natural is what i would call that lol
