i discovered today on one of our regular walks there is a tree and it gives off the most delicious smell, like candy floss.
i never noticed the smell before but apparently at this time of year it's really strong

i cant remember the name Japanese something

useless information i know

it could be. the smell was very strong, and yummy, lol, but the person i was walking with pointed to a tall green tree but if i remember correctly there was a smaller one in front of it with reddish leaves.

i will investigate tomorrow as a lot of the trees have name tags on them.

If you find out what it is, I'd love to know...I love walking through the woods and knowing what's there by the smell etc.

it most likely is the Katsura tree as Sled Dog says as it's refered to as the Candy Floss Tree.
i'll try and find out tomorrow when i'm down there.
