Tomorrow my sister is coming to dinner, I haven't seen her in ages.
    OH's friend is also coming.

Now I need ideas what I can make for tea. I need something good, also easy to make! Lol
Not just something I can throw together like pizza n chips etc.

Last time Michael was round I cooked bacon (&peppers n onion) in tomato + marscaponi sauce, with fresh pasta in cheese sauce. He really enjoyed it :D Problem is my sis loves that and I don't want Michael to think we always cook the same stuff! Lol!

    Ideas people please :D

Stew and dumplings! Get some meat, vegetables (I use parsnips, carrots, potatoes and leeks) put them in together to boil in some stock, add the dumplings (Mrs beetons :p) about 20 minutes before it's done. Shoudl take about 40 minutes.

It;s also advisable to brown the meat off before putting it in with the rest :)

    Peace

The trick with rice is when you boil it, sdon't stir it. When you stir it it all sort of globs together and turns into gelatinous white stuff...

Chicken with haggis in a creamy pepper sauce, really easy to do.

Bifteki - greek hamburgers stuffed with feta cheese, really easy as well.

Smoked Haddock Lasagne, a bit of faffing involved but not too bad.

If you want any receipies let me know! :)

Yummy, me and oh had enchiladas the other day, never had them before :D
And tonight we had chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese and some fries. It wasn't something I would normally buy (I didn't, oh's mum did. Lol) but it was really really nice!

my sister has chosen pork and pepper sauce :)

    mediteranian lasange?
all you do is make a cheese bechaml sauce (melt butter in a pan, add flour to make a paste, and then add milk bit by bit but stiring continously so it doesnt go lumpy, untill a smooth sauce is formed) put roasted vege, bright vege, then some sauce, then pasta sheets, then more vege, then more sauce, then pasta sheets n carry on untill you get it how high you want it, and then grind some cheese up and put on top n cook in oven for 15-20 mins :) and a good old apple pie with custard for afters! :)
