When I go into smaller pet shops (well...I mean not big chain stores) There's never enough toys for little dogs

I'm always disappointed at the lack of choice in dog treats. There's things available online that I never see in store eg cow's ears, vension ears, pigs snouts, bulls pizzles, that kind of thing.

 I don't know now  Things he can carry and throw around. The ones in my local shop are just too big for him to lift  He wont play with balls and such but he loves cuddly toys he can run round with

    Silly size that he is

I'd expect the usuals obviously- treats, food, toys, supplies etc.

What I'd like to see in a local pet shop however are items that I normally need to purchase online. I'd love my local pet shop to sell the fish4dogs range, stagbars, the Barking Heads range, a decent selection of kongs (other than the classic red ones), logic gel, Lilys Kitchen tins and a better variety of natural treats. :)

Do you specialise in a particular pet?
Are you in a town area or more country?

Royal Canin sensitive dog at a reasonable price would be good, costing me £125 a month to feed my Ted:eek:

Ah, yeah I'd not thought of that  Some good quality dog food and natural treats would be brilliant.

Also - just thought - some good dust extracted sawdust (have to drive miles for my hoppers sawdust  ) and timothy hay

many pet shops dont stock chicken feeds etc although they are getting very popular as pets. Also reptile equipment and frozen reptile foods and crickets etc. the normal flea, wormers, shampoos, leads, collars, beds, brushes etc, haltis, dog car restarints, foods, i have only one shop in my local area that stocks my dogs food. burns high oats due to him having to have a low fat diet. bowls teeth cleaners, ear cleaner nail clippers, , small pet cages feeds etc, bedding hay , wood chippins., fish equipment ,tanks , nets, food, tank ornaments, reptile light bulbs, lights, could go on...the most important though to me is a friendly face with some knowllege it goes a long way if the person serving you has some expereince in pets. some pet shops also offer a small pet boarding service. if space there to do it....hope i havent bored you ....are you still awake. lol.

    Where is your shop?

And do you sell indestructable dog toys (apart from kongs).

We got Peggy an octopus toy that was supposedly tested on tigers and bears. Lasted less than a week!

Sounds like you have a good shop. How soon will it be until you have shops nationwide?
