a few days ago we discovered that Isaac is half redbone coonhound. I would really appreciate any thoughts on what the other half of him may be 69425E50-1A03-4957-8B8A-995587C2B900.jpeg D008E066-BF5D-4537-BFEF-7E3FFC426A6A.jpeg 8738522E-F54D-4BB6-B323-B933D6EE9710.jpeg

That last picture makes me think of a pitbull/staffie. Although he is gorgeous, such a sweet little face!:)

I though of Australian Ridgeback, but what do I know :p (really I don't)

Now I think on it, that probably is not it, because his ears would be much shorter than both breeds.

And he would be much bigger.

Okay I was really being silly.

He really has a generic look so it's hard to say. How did you discover he is half Redbone? He could be more than 2 breeds. If you want splurge you can get an Embark DNA test it will give you more than just breed results as well.

How did you find out about the coonhound? How old is he? He does look a bit Rhodesian ridgeback but I would expect him to be bigger if he was a ridgeback/coonhound mix. There could also be more than one other breed in there. It's hard to tell exact mixes from photos, the only way to really know 100% is to know the parents. You could try a DNA test, not wholly reliable but they can give you an idea.
