Just a bit of fun. I've been looking at some of the photographs on here showing people going into their polling station to vote

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/election-2017-40171454

Some of them look so interesting with old churches, fire stations, a coffee shop and even a private residence being used.

Ours is in a portakabin stuck on a grass verge on the corner of a road.

    What/where is your polling station?

Mine is a hideous 70's village hall, but they are dog friendly which seems to have gone down well with people.

Not that I would take my two in there .... it would be chaos :D

Mine is the old fire station, now a community centre type building. Also dog friendly although mine refused to walk beyond the end of the road this morning as it was raining.

Mine's the local church hall built in the 1970s. When I was growing up my junior school was always used - meant we got a day off school :p

Mine is just a portable cabin same size as a storage container, in a pub car park.

Our polling station is the Village Hall .....early Victorian building that used to be the village school (in the days when villages still had schools)

Just voted in a queue of one. Or two if you count my wife :D

Dunno, we postal vote. It used to be on the Army base but with all the 'activity' recently I think it is now the community centre.

I went about 11am and there was a steady stream at mine. I think the turnout could be quite high this time, maybe.

Ours is in the community centre. I live in a town and went at about 10am before going to work and it was busy, much busier than when I last voted.

Mine is an old church hall nothing special I don`t think it gets used for much else maybe brownies but that's about it. Hasn`t seen a lick of paint in years, just as well as I will be wearing wellies when I go to vote (go through a field to reach it) Haven`t been yet so no idea how busy it has been, we always tend to go latter in evening and the dogs will be accompanying us, we`ve take dogs to polling station long before the internet and the #dogsatpollingstation thingy was even a twinkle in the eye of its inventor:)
My mums polling station, where I have been today, is also a church hall but much modernised, its got a lovely kitchen, toilets and blinds, sadly no one thought a ramp might be a good idea for the disabled! It was not busy only one other person came to vote while mum was there however they said they tend to get most voters in evening after work.
