    in your opinion(s)?
and is it only selfish in your opinion OR selfish generally, like really, objectionably selfish or only subjectivley selfish and would it change how selfish you saw something as being as how close you were to the person you were calling selfish and if so why would it change anyway?

and if you told someone something they did was selfish would you be being selfish telling them that if the thing you were saying was selfish didnt actually affect anyone else, or even you yourself?

speak english man!! (the "man" bit being a geordie phrase, not referring to you as a man, just in case you're a woman! I've already made that mistake once on here, lol, won't do it again :D )

see how unselfish I was explaining myself there? Did ya see what I did?

Selfishness is people just thinking of themselves and nobody else!!

    LOL!

There's something rather pedantic about that correction, and that's selfish.

    Right?

I'll refrain from answering then cos I didn't understand the question, I've read it 3 times and I've STILL not got it right in me head!

Ok I too struggled with the post

But I think that I think that if something someone does not affect anyone else then the act cannot truely be selfish
Therefore someone telling them it was selfish was perhaps just being a little mean

We are all selfish to some degree or another in somebodies eyes. Selfishness makes us cooperate but not pandas.

I agree with the first bit, but I don't understand the reference to Pandas...are Pandas selfish because they only eat Bamboo and if they eat all the Bamboo there's none left for the rest of the world? :tongue_smilie:

    Do you mean

    Pander
    [ˈpændə]
    vb
    1. to give gratification (to weaknesses or desires)

A panderer can be someone who supplies a person for sexual services to another for personal gain (i.e. a pimp and pimps are very selfish)

    Isn't English wonderful? :D

okay my term of selfish, is someone doing something for themselves/concerned about own selves/interests and no giving two hoots about someone else whilst it has a negative effect on that someone else.

to the last question, if it didn't effect anyone i don't see how it can be selfish tbh. So yes i think it'd make them selfish whoever said there were being selfish.

this made sense in my head
