We have probably went through 100s of pounds trying new food on evie due to her skin problem. But now we use the Fish4Dogs food which we were recommended to try.

So we now feed her Fish4Dogs biscuits softened with water, then with some pasta and a little bit of veg and she loves it.

What do you feed your dog(s)

I feed skinners Duck and Rice or Arden Grange. All this mob can eat either so it makes it easier to feed as a couple of the cavs get colitis on other feeds and old Kez tends to poo over night with cheaper food

Autarky dried food and leftovers from our dinners mixed in with proportionately less of their kibble, plus the odd chicken wing or meaty bone. Plus treats for training.

CSJ 21 Salmon for my two because:

    • I struggle to keep weight on Otto with other foods eg Burns.
    • Otto can't tollerate anything with chicken in it.
    • The salmon oils are great for their coats (Alfie had to regrow 70% of his coat after he was rescued due to mange.)
    • It's high quality food at a reasonable price.
    • Ceri the nutritionist at CSJ is incredibly helpful.

Skinners Field & Trial salmon & rice. Fish based food seems to suit them as they have a sensitivity to poultry based dry foods which results in toxic wind and soft poop whatever brand it is.

Raw food for mine, tripe & veggies, raw chicken, lamb, heart and kidneys, liver is cooked as it has a tendency to make them loose, raw eggs, appropriate left overs, and the occasional tin of fish in tomato sauce.

Re the pasta thing, I wouldn't bother, it contains wheat, so for a dog suffering from skin problems may not help, although it might not be obvious initially.

Forgot to say, I've seen someone feeds bakers and pedigree, two of the very worst foods on the market, absolutely awful ingredients for your dog, please do a bit of reading up on it, if you think they are good foods after doing a bit of research, fair enough, but really, honestly, there are cheaper and better foods out there than either of those two.
