Without any papers to tell you otherwise

he/she is a very pretty black/brown tabby and white moggie.

Looks like a moggy/tabby to me too.
Were you hoping for a bengal?

I think either a regular tabby cat, or a possible Bronze Egyptian Mau. Maybe there is some Egyption Mau in her / him anyway. The nose makes me think this - I am a bit of a geek with my cat breed book and it says their noses are pink, lined with dark brown. The colourings look very similar too.

i am absoloutly sure she is a tabby moggie. I'm afraid that nose colour is common in moggies and give no indication to her breed.

Purely by chance i found this pic of a very similar moggie, although she is a tortie tabby and white....

    Thanks for the quick responses!!!

The cat is a male, named Garvie (my mums choice!haha)

I thought he may be a standard tabby but he seemed slightly unusual!!

He is very long and skinny and has a cheetah like pattern on his belly and overall a very beautiful cat!! looks like he could just be a pure tabby though!

Also, he has some scabs on his skin...the vet said this could be because he is allergic to flees? could it be other reasons?

The likelihood is EXTREMELY slim. There were only 230 Maus registered in 2008. What would the chances that one would a) be near you, b) be unneutered & c) got outside.

I would say a gorgeous tabby and white moggie! One of my girls looked very similar.

We also have a tom that looks the same around. I would have to agree with Messyhearts, it would be highly unlikely that Mau has got into his genes!!

Whatever he is he is a truly stunning boy

He looks like a stunning tabby mog to me - although looking at the photo, and it may be that the colour on my screen is giving the wrong impression, but, are you SURE he is a male? Just that the screen on my laptop is showing some red patches up and making him look like a tortie tabby, which would about 99% make him a her!

Definitely not Mau, though, nowhere near "worried" looking enough for starters LOL
