I got my rescue, Mallory early this year and I’m not sure what breed of grey cat she is. I’ve looked it up but she could be any of these. Please help! X

She's a blue domestic shorthair or moggy :)

Very pretty. Without knowing her parentage I can only agree with @Rufus15 and say that she is a domestic shorthair - ie no specific breed

She looks a lot like a Russian blue, but you can never be sure.

She's very pretty regardless. If she is a Russian blue then she will make a lovely pet.

She looks absolutely nothing like a Russian

Do you not think? Out of curiosity I looked through the RBBA web site gallery page and to me she looks remarkably like a Russian Blue. Not that I'm suggesting she definitely is, of course.

To me she looks a little like a Russian in her ear height & set, but eyes are too round, and head shape is wrong. Can't comment on the coat from the photos. Also remember that not many Russians are bred - under 400 last year out of over 20,000 cats registered with the GCCF - so the chances of Russian genes getting into the general domestic pool are much lower than for British Shorthair, which topped the list by number registered for last with over 6,000. Of course there are other registries but I doubt they are registering many Russians.

I agree that she's a very pretty blue domestic shorthair.

No I don't, they're very distinctive to look at in the fur and have a very solid and large bone structure. I probably shouldn't say this but they do have somewhat of a "moggy" type face but they are also very distinctive

Russian blue cats have a delecate done structure, particularly the females. I'd bet that the cat is at least a Russian blue mix, but it doesn't matter either way.

Most cats in the UK - some 95% - are not a mix of anything except the fabulous DSH / DLH and I doubt this cat is anything different.

We see a lot of Russians at shows (in all accepted colours) the standard calls for medium strong boning, not delicate.

As OS said it’s highly unlikely this cat is a mix of any pedigree breed.

Same here: "Medium to large sized but long and graceful in outline and carriage. Medium strong bone, well muscled. Cobby or heavy build is undesirable."

I just noticed she has a slight squint (or appears to have) which is rather cute. (Not sure if OP will be back.)
