What breed is Hooch?

    I'm just watching Turner & Hooch with my dad - does anyone know what breed he is?

    Hooch is a doug de bordeaux;).

    I wondered why i couldn't recognise the breed - i've never seen it before, except on Turner & Hooch and now i know what breed he is lol!

    You lot are stars i knew i could rely on you

    I think he's actually played by several Dogues de Bordeaux throughout the film. Not sure how many though.

    Only one apprently He was called Beasley the dog :)

    Yes that's what it says at the end but their are several used throughout the film, you can tell due to different white patterns on their chests. Pretty sure he changes size too :) I'll have to ask someone at the next show.

    There were actually 3 Dogue de Bordeaux's used in the making of Turner and Hooch.

    i love dogue de bordeaux if i ever had a big dog that would be the one for me!! we have one nr us and hes awesome he has the most gorgeous amber eyes too
